Norfolk Air Ambulance charity sponsorship
Every now and then I like to undertake a physical challenge and at the same time raise money for a worthy cause. It motivates me to keep my fitness as office work and writing is not the best way of keeping fit! It's been a few years since my last exploit which involved me riding from Biarritz in the south of France to Cambridge, some 1,300 miles later and very sore, a significant donation was made to a local hospice.
Before that I did Lands End to John O'Groats for a London hospital. There have also been a couple of marathons and a few half marathons too.
For my next challenge I will be raising cash for the Norfolk Air Ambulance. My plan is to undertake another bike ride in the Spring of 2011 from Lands End, around the south coast to the Essex coast and then up the coast to Great Yarmouth, a total of about 700 miles. I aim to complete this in 8 days.
I would like to send out an open invitation to you to do one or more of the following things to support this next challenge:
1. Join me on the event. It would be great to find another two or three riders who don't mind a challenge and enjoy pedal power!
2. Volunteer to help raise cash for the event and or sponsor the event.
3. Support the event by donating supplies or becoming one of the support team. Anything from spares to protein drinks or maybe even discounts on essential supplies.
